Jenny Kalmbach + Morgan Hoesterey: paddle boarders, outdoor adventurerers, activists. Their thirst for adventure is contagious, and their latest project, Destination 3— is inspiring . In April 2010, they made their way across each of the Hawaiian channels, setting competition aside to chase the ultimate prize: ocean adventure. Just three degrees of latitude separate the islands of Hawaii; nine legendary open-ocean channels link them together. More than just a mental, physical and emotional challenge, Destination 3—put Jenny and Morgan in a unique position to raise awareness and funds to help benefit Algalita Marine Research Foundation, in their mission to understand and protect the oceans from the impacts of plastics contamination. Stoking the fires of adventure and awareness, Jenny and Morgan have a passion for making a difference and finding adventure in the everyday--this makes them really cool people (and honorary Toads).
