Feel good about clocking in. Yup, it can happen. We Toads are powered by laughing, good food and cold beer, which, unfortunately, is not a source of energy that can be converted to run the office’s lights, computers and coffee makers. The thought did cross our minds to have bicycles at every desk plugged into a power grid, but it would make too much noise and disturb the herd of office dogs. So, we looked elsewhere to find some clean, green energy to power the Toad’s home sweet home.

Starting in 2006 Horny Toad became the proud parents of some Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) through 3Degrees. Currently, clean energy costs more than dirty energy - sad but true. Purchasing a REC helps to make up the cost difference so that clean energy can stand up to it's dirty competition in the energy market. Not to mention, it feels pretty darned good to help bring clean energy into the forefront while banishing the dirty energy into the deep dark hole it came from.

Clean energy is renewable energy that gives off little to no emissions. What's more? Mother Nature herself creates clean energy, and that friends, is a family affair to be apart of. All Horny Toad locations and Nau are now powered by renewable energy from green-e certified wind farms. We also offset daily travel of the Toads, including the road-tripping sales force that is out there spreading the good word. Other kinds of renewable energy come from solar, geothermal, biomass and low-impact hydro facilities.
